Shannon Shuptrine

Shannon grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and now lives there with her husband and welcomes visits from her son when he is home from college in Ireland. Many of her most meaningful a-ha moments have come through time spent in the natural world and through connecting, creating, and working closely with others.

She is a passionate advocate and curator of place-based education, grounded in the belief that relationships are central to learning and that our relationship to place is equally important. Shannon earned her Master of Education from Antioch New England Graduate School and spent 30 years working in education before becoming Executive Director of Teton Resilience Network.

The sustainability, equity, and climate resilience work of the Teton Resilience Network offers Shannon a way to serve the community, environment, and planet that have long been her teachers and a constant source of wonder and joy.
